Citizenship ceremonies in Adelaide
This page is for people becoming Australian citizens in the City of Adelaide area. This council covers the city centre, and people in other suburbs are invited by their own local council. The council holds ceremonies through the year, including one on Australia Day.

You get your certificate after you say the pledge, and you also get a form to enrol to vote. Check the council's ceremony page for dates and how invitations work.

What happens at the ceremony
You make the Australian Citizenship Pledge in front of the people at the ceremony. You become an Australian citizen when you make the pledge, not before. After the pledge you should receive your citizenship certificate. If it is not ready on the day, it comes by post.
