Citizenship ceremonies in Ipswich

This page is for people becoming Australian citizens in the City of Ipswich area. The council holds up to 10 ceremonies a year, usually at Ipswich Civic Centre. Allow at least two hours, though the ceremony itself takes about one hour.

How you are invited

Home Affairs gives the council a list of approved people about four weeks before the ceremony. If you have a place, the council emails you an invitation three to four weeks before. Places go in the order of approval date.
