Citizenship ceremonies in Greater Dandenong
This page is for people becoming Australian citizens in the City of Greater Dandenong area. The council holds ceremonies for Home Affairs. It does not handle your application.
How you are invited
Home Affairs handles your application and invites you to a ceremony. The council has no part in this.
When ceremonies are held
The council holds ceremonies for Home Affairs, and its 2026 dates are in a file on the council's ceremony page.
The dates can change.

What happens at the ceremony
You make the Australian Citizenship Pledge in front of the people at the ceremony. You become an Australian citizen when you make the pledge, not before. After the pledge you should receive your citizenship certificate. If it is not ready on the day, it comes by post.
