Citizenship ceremonies in Ku-ring-gai

How you are invited
Home Affairs picks your ceremony and tells the council. The council emails your invitation 3 to 4 weeks ahead, in the order of approval dates. Check your junk email.

What happens at the ceremony
You make the Australian Citizenship Pledge in front of the people at the ceremony. You become an Australian citizen when you make the pledge, not before. After the pledge you should receive your citizenship certificate. If it is not ready on the day, it comes by post.
